The Pacific Northwest is home to a vibrant cattle ranching community. More than 1.5 million head of calves were raised in 2011 in Idaho, Oregon and Washington. All breeds, methods of ranching and size of ranches are represented in that number.
Ranchers are the backbone of many communities dotting the hills, valleys and mountains of these three states. Their commitment is to the cattle they raise, the land they live on and the generations who have come before and are still to come.
